Why Emoco exists:

What Emoco does:

How Emoco does it:

Right now, across the education system, people aren't thriving. Research suggests that subjective wellbeing and satisfaction with school is low amongst young people, and that they often cite the education system as one of the primary determinants adversley affecting their mental health.

This challenge permeates across generations. At the same time, we know that the mental health & well-being of educators is also approaching a critical boiling point. 59% of staff have considered leaving the profession in recent years due to the pressure it places on their mental health.

Systems are made up of people. With so many families and educators voting with their feet, we risk having no education system at all - with no learners left willing to learn, and no teacahers left willing to teach. This places us, as a society, in a very grave position.

Emoco exists to help school communities - collectively - navigate this tricky problem and identify the solutions that work for them.

Emoco ultimately aims to embed a culture of wellbeing in the schools we work with. That is, a school culture where positive mental health and wellbeing is truly held in equal regard to academic & vocational success.

Schools are living communities bustling with collective wisdom more than capable of embedding a culture of well-being that is right for them.

Emoco brings intergenerational coalitions of stakeholders from across the whole-school community - including young people, parents/carers, teachers, support staff and senior leaders - together in co-production spaces to move towards a culture of wellbeing together.

We utilise the collective wisdom and lived experiences of the whole-school community to identify what initiatives would make the most progress towards embedding a culture of well-being and then implement them together.
